Hmm...
Probably the busiest Saturday I've had so far in my entire time there... My fellow colleagues and myself promised to remind one another to make sure we were not going to be on that weekend next year... Now we just have to make sure we don't forget. Speaking of which, in fairness, was a challenge in itself on the day in question; there was hardly any time to breath, let alone remembering what it was that customers were asking us to do. Most of the time it was asking for drugs. For their pets of course. ;-)
Every year, the fire crackers scare the s*** out of our furry little friends... and with that, make their owners come to us.. A complicated thing a times, as we need the vet's permission to hand out these little yellow pills... as they are, of course, prescription meds. Add a back-to-back appointment schedule for the vet in question (poor her) and you get the picture. Mix in a couple of emergency visits and a few un-planned euth's (and with that some very upset owners), a family with a mini-zoo in tow (1 rabbit with a much needed tooth clip; a cage with about 6 budgies in which one of them was unwell and a reptile, of some sort, with a lump, of some sort, growing on his nose) and we have a nice recipe for a banging Halloween weekend...
Yay... glad it's over....!! for me. My poor fellow vet and assistant are on today again... right now, as I'm blogging actually..... Poor them and lucky me.
